people of Nagaland, where it was also encouraged by the Government of Nagaland
to promote the inter-tribal interactions as well as to promote their cultural
heritage of the State. This festival was named after the Hornbill bird, this
festival is being organized to protect the culture of Nagaland and to display
their history, culture and heritage. This festival will be going on for about a

Adventurous Tourism in Northeast India
Its time for the Adventurous trip in the Northeast India, Gorichen Peak. It
is a highest peak of Arunachal Pradesh and third highest peak in the Northeast
India is located in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. It belongs to the
Himalayam Mountain Group, this peak has a height of 6,488 meters. The mountain
has several subsidiaries, slightly lower peaks, which also have been climbed.
This is the ideal place for Mountaineering. In 1939, an Englishman named Bill
Tilman who was a mountaineer and explorer was the
first man to attempt climbing in the remote and unexplored Southern approaches
of Gori Chen, before his team succumbed to malaria. It is the most popular
trekking circuits among climbers and hikers in the northeast. The trek, the
landscape and the thrill is something one should experience if traveling to
northeast. Northeast India also has even more adventurous destination spots
with it. If you've planned to visit this peak to experience the thrill then, I
personally recommend you to observe the safety measure before you start your
adventure here.
Heritage Tourism in Northeast India
Does
Northeast India has place for Heritage Tourism? Yes. According to The National Trust for Historic Preservation of The
United States defines heritage tourism as, "Traveling to experience the
places, artifacts and activities that authentically represent the stories and
people of the past". Ujjayanta Palace in Tripura stands as one of the
symbol of heritage tourism in Northeast India. This is palace was initially
constructed by Tripura king named "Radha Kishore Manikya" between
1899 to 1901. It is a former Royal
Palace of Tripura's Princely State situated in Agartala(Capital of Tripura).
Tripura is considered as one the oldest princely state of India. This palace is
considered as one of the major tourist attraction in the state of Tripura,
Northeast India. The Palace stands on the banks of a small lake surrounded by
the lush greenery of Mughal gardens. This is now modified as a museum in
Tripura and considered as the largest museum in Northeast India which have the
area of over 800 acres. If you get a chance to visit palace you can encounter
some of the Culture, Art, Utility crafts, Traditions & Lifestyle of various
communities lived in Northeast India here. This Neoclassical Palace was
designed by the Sir Alexander Martin of Messrs Martin & Co,. This palace
comprises of Throne hall, Library, The Court hall, Reception hall. Chinese room
in this palace was most notable here. The name "Ujjayanta Palace"

palace bears lots and lots of historical story with it, to know those all
stories of past then you must visit this fascinating Ujjayata Palace
of King 'Radha Kishore Manikya' which will tell you even more historical
stories than what I told you.
Eco-tourism in Northeast India
Though we spend our time in
Four Seasons or in Starbucks or in Theme park like Universal Studios they won't give us the same feeling as like the
Nature gives us. Northeast India has a place for that too. The Living
Root Bridges in the Meghalaya state of Northeast India
is one of the tourist attractions where
its beauty brings many local and international tourist to its place. These
bridges are in a form of tree shaping, which creates these suspension bridges,
they are handmade from the aerial roots of living banyan fig trees, such as
Ficus elastica. The flexible tree roots are trained to grow through betel tree
trunks which are placed across the gap, until the figs roots take root on the
other side. Stones, sticks and other inclusions are placed with the growing bridge.
These bridge can take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, they're
also extraordinarily strong enough to carry the weight of fifty or more people
at a time. These root bridges are over hundred feet long and some of the
ancient's root bridges are being used daily by the people of the villages
around Cherrapunji may be well more than 500 years (approx). They are naturally
self-renewing and self-strengthening as the component roots grow thicker. These
bridges are grown not built and that's the reason why many tourists wish to
look over it and walk on it. Northeast of India has plenty of Eco-tourism
resources along with it. Surely Northeast will make your mind and body
refreshed.
Conclusion
Still, Northeast India has dissimilar tourist spots and different types of tourism where tourists can never be disappointed and we can never come to conclusion about Northeast India. Simply,
